Artist Statement
I am drawn to Anselm Kiefer’s quote, "Art is longing. You never arrive but you keep going hoping that you will." The idea of never reaching a final destination holds endless potential. It’s in that space—the journey itself—where creativity thrives. There is so much possibility in the path leading toward an imagined end.

My current practice centres on colour and texture, creating non-objective works that invite the viewer to pause. I hope to draw them in, offering something new with each encounter. The goal is to provide an escape, allowing the viewer to be absorbed in the movement and presence of the painting.

Influenced by artists like Helen Frankenthaler and Betty Goodwin, I find inspiration in their use of abstraction to convey the ineffable. Their work speaks to a process of discovery and introspection, a journey that I aspire to through my own practice.
